Chocolate Bark

Supplies:

Candy Melts Cocoa & Vanilla                                 Glitter card stock and scissors
Peppermint candy, plastic bag and a hammer        Ribbon
Canning jar                                                              Gift tag (decoupage, glitter & twine)

Directions:

  • Line cookie sheet with parchment paper 
  • In microwave safe bowl pour in entire bag of cocoa candy melts and heat on low for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until candy melts have melted
  • Pour onto lined cookie sheet, smooth and allow to cool on counter or in refrigerator
  • With candy in bag, crush with hammer (use hard surface, like driveway) set aside
  • In microwave safe bowl pour entire bag of vanilla candy melts and heat on low for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until candy melts have melted
  • Stir in ½ of the crushed peppermint, allow to partially cool so it won't melt cocoa layer, pour over cocoa layer, sprinkle crushed peppermint on top, set aside to cool 
  • When ready to serve or package up be sure to bring to room temp and then break into uneven pieces and place inside of canning jar
  • Use jar lid to trace on glittered card stock, cut out & place inside of rim, tie ribbon.
  • Decoupage bottom 1/3 of gift tag & sprinkle with glitter, add name and twine
